Is There Magic Behind Making Money Online?

When I gave up work a few years ago I wanted to know if it was possible to make money from working online at home.

There are lots and lots of information about this but nothing that states clearly the direction to go!

For example if you do a search in Google right now you will see that most of the sites are firstly not free to join or are news articles not actually telling you anything except that so and so is making loads of money online! There are also some survey sites to join, again not free, and lots of YouTube videos showing not a lot frankly!

So you see the problem? Not a lot of information there to point you in the right direction. So you dig deeper and perhaps go to Yahoo answers or another question and answer site.

What do you find there? Plenty of questions but not really any solid answers.

Is this sounding familiar? So what do you do about it? You get sucked into parting with your money and still not getting a lot of help or guidance.

It took me a long time before I realised that making money online is something very individual. One thing might work great for someone but that does not necessarily mean it will work great for you!

I believe more and more that the type of person you are is the biggest factor in deciding whether or not you will be able to make a living online.

Put it this way. You can have all the information and help that you need but if you aren't willing to take the action and actually work at it then you just won't make money! It's as simple as that!

Perhaps you are someone who really gets into something but then looses interest. Then I don't think you'll make it online either. Sorry, but it's true.

Think about it. You have a job and work 9 to 5. You really get into it and enjoy the learning and look forward to each day. However after a few weeks you get distracted with things happening at home. The dogs gets sick, your roof starts leaking you know the sort of thing - they take up you time and attention.

Suddenly your job isn't so great, you want to sort things out at home. You can think of far more important things to be doing. So what do you do? Quit your job? No! Of course not! You can't! Well you could but then you would just need to get another to earn money to live on. So you stick with it and eventually things at home calm down and you start enjoying your job again.

I think that this is what happens with many people wanting to make money online. They begin with good intentions but then they get distracted. There is no one there to say "hey, where were you today, why didn't you show up for work?" No accountability.

So how can you make yourself accountable? You could get a mentor or coach. Or you could network with others online and give each other challenges to complete. You could ask friends and family to check that you have completed the tasks you have planned for that week.

There is no magic to internet marketing you just need to take action consistently.

Introduction to Internet Marketing (Part 5)

Feeling a little bit more confident in your understanding of an Affiliate Marketer?

Hope so!

Well last time we discussed picking our niche.

Hopefully you have kind of made up your mind about which niche sounds right for you.

With that out of the way, it is time to pick out your product.

I will normally not select a product until the end of my process.

If you get lucky I might share my "process" with you later.

But for now I am just discussing product selection for the sake of this course.

For starters, I will start with the more cut-and-dry tips of product selection.

Head on over to the ClickBank marketplace, and select the category that fits your niche.

In the marketplace, I will normally look at two different numbers.

The first is the Avg $/sale.

This is the average commission an Affiliate will get paid per sale they help make.

For this stat, it really depends on the difficulty of promoting the product.

If the product won't be too difficult to promote, I could settle for a little commission around $20.

But if the product will be difficult to promote then that is another story.

The decision is for you to decide.

The next stat I look at is called "gravity".

While no one (except ClickBank) really knows what calculations go into this stat, it is a really nice figure to look at.

Basically, gravity is the popularity and "hotness" of a product.

The higher a product's gravity, the more Affiliates are making money off of it, and so on.

As you can see, gravity can be a really helpful figure.

For gravity, I usually look for a figure around 100 or higher.

With a high gravity number, you can usually count on it as being reliable and able to stay around for a long time.

Did you catch what I mentioned there?

The part about the product staying around for a LONG TIME.

This is extremely important.

Why would you want to waste all your time promoting a product, then the owner takes it down from ClickBank...

All that time down the drain...

So do yourself a favor, make sure the product is established and reliable.

There are so many ways of making money online for free. If you want some extra pocket money to pay your bills or to buy something special then there are many different ways that you can achieve this on the web.

I run an internet business where I help people to set up their own businesses online. As a group, we do very well. We sell hundreds of different products every week. We have learnt what might be known as the 'secrets' of internet marketing and we have all worked very hard.

By the way, working hard is a prerequisite of making money online, unless you elect to do passive income building, but you'll still have to work hard initially to set that up. I'm mentioning this as there still seems to be so many spammers and scammers out there that give the impression that you really don't have to do much to succeed at internet money making.

Running a business is just one of the ways of making money online. In this article I'm going to share with you some of the ways that anybody can make money

The internet is mostly used as a tool to locate knowledge. If you have a specific field of knowledge, then that's great news as there are many different ways that you can use that for making money online for free.

One of the easiest ways to make money from your knowledge is to answer questions on paid to answer websites. There are several sites set up where people pay experts to answer questions for them. The site owner will take a payment from the question asker and then pay you. We're all an expert in one area or another so this is open to all of us to participate in.

Your knowledge can also be shared by writing articles for other internet marketers. They'll pay you between $10 and $20 for a 300 to 500 word article on the topic that they suggest. You'll need to be proficient at creating articles that are search engine and human friendly.

If you have already had some experience with search engine optimisation or SEO, then you could answers questions on the website that is a forum for experts in this subject matter.

Another way that you can get paid by writing is posting on forums. Some sites will pay quite good money for doing this type of service for them.

If you want to go down the picture route, then it's possible to get paid just to upload files, photos, videos and documents. If you're a photographer then you can find plenty of sites to upload your own photos to and people will pay you for the copyright of the photo.

If you have a Twitter account with plenty of followers then there are marketers and advertisers looking for people like you. They will pay you to tweet their messages to your followers.

All these are different ways of earning an online income, but my preferred way is to help people learn about making money online.
